Small Talks - Gregory Tall Company.001.j

WHAT ARE SMALL TALKS?

IT'S A DIFFICULT CONVERSATION AND YOU'RE NOT SURE WHERE TO START IT. SO, LET ME.

Small Talks are a fully customizable group learning experience. No packets. No worksheets. No PowerPoints. Just your people connecting and learning from each other, with the guidance of an experienced facilitator.

In these intimate sessions, I help your people have meaningful conversations about diversity and inclusion (D&I). You choose a topic in the D&I space, and I show up to facilitate it.

Small Talks are designed to create a shared learning environment that is real (people being honest), safe (people not feeling attacked or judged), and a little uncomfortable (people engaging in conversations they typically avoid).

Participants are encouraged to engage in active listening and perspective-taking, and commit to continuing the conversation afterward.

Book a Small Talk as an add-on to any D&I workshop or book as a stand-alone learning experience.

FORMAT OPTIONS FOR SMALL TALKS

  • REACTION: Participants receive a D&I related prompt or pre-work assignment (e.g. read an article, watch a TED Talk) and then engage in a deep dive conversation to share their reaction to it.

  • REMIX: Participants are organized into small groups (5-6 people per group) with each group having a deep dive conversation about a different D&I topic. Groups are periodically redistributed so people receive maximum exposure to the diversity of thought and are less likely to form cliques.

  • MASTERMIND: Participants collaborate with a small group of peers to brainstorm how to address a specific D&I issue within your business. The goal is to have an engaging conversation that culminates with actionable next steps.
