THE DESCRIPTION.
MAKING THE WORLD MORE EQUITABLE:
ALLYSHIP & CREATING INCLUSIVE SPACES
In this simulation style workshop, participants will follow an individual from an underrepresented group through several phases of the employee life cycle. At each phase, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a candid conversation about that person's experiences and how those experiences compare to their own. Through perspective-taking and active listening, you will reflect on how people from underrepresented groups navigate dominant culture, and how facially neutral practices impact them. You'll learn the difference between equality and equity, and understand the relationship between equity, experience, and opportunity. All participants will learn specific actions they can take to normalize a culture of inclusivity.
PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN HOW TO...
